Née à Saint-Pie-de-Guire, au Québec, Céline Forcier habite Orléans, en Ontario, depuis plusieurs années. Après avoir remporté le Concours d'auteurs de l'Est ontarien pour Chez Mathilde, ainsi que le prix littéraire Le Droit 2001 (catégorie jeunesse) pour Le secret de Misha, elle a écrit Rafael, un second roman pour adolescents. Le chêne est son premier roman grand public.
